Total Eye Care in Vernon, NJ, has the latest state-of-the-art technology. Their front and back-office technicians are first-rate, polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dr. Rosanna Lovecchio is a board-certified optometrist with over 30 years of experience. She loves what she does, which shows the moment you enter her examination room. She is thorough, patient, understanding, highly knowledgeable, and simply the best eye care professional my wife and I have ever dealt with in 40 years. My wife is a 30-year teacher for the NJ Commission for the Blind and has dealt with many eye professionals in that time, but none better than Dr. Loveccio. Therefore, I want to leave a glowing review – but I can not. The lead administrator and the first person with whom one comes in contact when entering the business is rude, terse, and entirely unwelcoming. Clients are clearly an annoyance to this woman, in stark contrast to every other professional encountered. There is no warm greeting, no welcoming customers to peruse the products about the store, absolutely no customer relationship, and the words “thank you” or “safe home” at the end of a visit must never be spoken lest a client get the sense that their patronage is in any way appreciated. If one has the misfortune of getting this person on the phone when calling the business, as is often the case, the response is even worse. This is unfortunate because Total Eye Care of Vernon, NJ, excels far beyond Lens Crafters and other independent competitors in every other way. It should also be noted that every client spends a considerable amount of their hard-earned money when visiting this business. This isn’t a “one bad day” experience. It happens every time we enter the store, and we must deal with this front desk administrator. For the sake of this otherwise exemplary business’s continued success, I sincerely hope the owners will spend time training the front desk staff on how to interact with customers because, without Customers, there is no business. Politeness costs nothing and earns everything.

Everyone is so nice and so patient. My daughter has terrible anxiety but Total Eyecare is better with her than the pediatric doctor we used to see. Dr. Audlin is wonderful with her and so thorough. We will always go here.
